Beach town for tourism!

Yes, Costa Rica is about nature but sometimes, the excitement of shopping, dinning out, dancing and mingling with the crowds is also a different nature and our resort is fortunate to be within ten minute drive to the beach community of Coco. This small community, now home to many North American residents with a large condominium community (10,000 people we call large) offers excitement and night life.

From a day shopping trip for those trinkets to bring home, to a nice sushi or steak dinner at Mike's; Coco's offers a lot. The dancing starts and ten going all night which for the younger crowd is appealing, the Lizard Lounge for those with a different adventure.

Coco's large Canadian winter residence help the local community support a very nice grocery, pharmaceutical stores and with the recent hospital built by CEMA, a Houston based hospital owner, the community now enjoyed state of the art health care. Part of the new medical tourism industry that exists in San Jose and is now moving to Guanacaste due to the projected larger growth in retirement living from up North.

Other communities with very nice accommodations are Playa Hermosa between Coco and our resort which offer some very nice restaurants on to Playa Tamarindo which is very much like an old hippie community. The city of Liberia is today a bustling community supporting the construction and tourist development trade which our new international airport terminal will continue to bring to the region.
